What Makes the VIS Intern & Trainee Program Unique?

Learning In The Workplace

From hotel management to business studies, students work on real projects under mentorship of industry experts, honing skills and enhancing employability.

Cultural Exchange and Global Perspective

Living and working in the US exposes students to new modes of thought, partnership and expression. This interaction develops an understanding of other cultures, adaptability and a real global mindset.

Professional Mentorship and Guidance

All participants are mentored by leading figures in their respective fields. These teachers not only ensure that there are achieved learning outcomes but also how your career will move ahead.

Adventure That Leads to Learning: Bridge USA Intern and Trainee Program

The J-1 Intern and Trainee program exposes participants to U.S. culture through prearranged programs that must meet specific objectives. Those enrolled can receive hands-on training in hospitality, business or technology among other skills and learn about the culture they’re visiting at the same time.

During their internship/training period, Interns/trainees also participate in local events, sightseeing and networking activities to make the most of their time in the U.S.

Flexible payment plans are available. Individuals may continue to participate in the program for longer than one year if they continue to meet eligibility requirements.

Initial Counselling and Eligibility Check

Your journey starts with a personal consultation with VIS advisors who help you define your career goals, training interests, and preferred location in the U.S. Program Details: Duration: Interns – up to 12 months, Trainees – up to 18 months. Work Hours: 32–40 hours per week. Stipend: Paid directly by the host company in USD. Next comes the eligibility check, where VIS verifies your academic qualifications, English fluency, and visa eligibility based on the J-1 Intern or Trainee category. You’ll receive transparent guidance on documentation, fees, and program suitability before moving ahead.

Matching, Documentation, and Visa Assistance

After confirming eligibility, VIS begins the matching process—connecting you with a verified host company that fits your area of study or professional background. Once your host company is confirmed, the visa assistance phase begins. VIS helps you complete your DS-2019 sponsorship, DS-160 visa application, and SEVIS registration. Mock interviews and personalized document checks prepare you for your U.S. Embassy appointment, ensuring a confident and smooth approval process.

These sessions cover essential topics like: Understanding U.S. workplace culture and professional etiquette, budgeting, packing, and managing daily expenses, travel readiness and cultural adaptation tips, health and safety guidance for international living. Participants also receive a digital handbook with travel checklists, cultural tips, and emergency contacts—ensuring you feel prepared before departure.

Options: Shared apartments, host-provided rooms, or approved private accommodation. Meals: Self-catering or meal plans (depending on placement). Safety: All housing is inspected for comfort and security, and VIS offers 24/7 emergency support throughout your stay. This ensures you can focus on your training without worrying about logistics or safety.

Regular progress check-ins help ensure your learning objectives are met and your experience remains rewarding. Inclusions: Verified U.S. host company placement, DS-2019 sponsorship and visa guidance, pre-departure and on-site support, housing coordination and safety monitoring, 24/7 assistance throughout the program, Certificate of Participation after completion.
